  • Feb - The Common Good  - the ethical and practical issues surrounding shared resources (Kath)
  • Mar - Animal welfare and how language affects our treatment and behaviour towards them (with some reference to Peter Singer's influential work in this area) (Chris)
  • Apr - The Frankfurt School and Critical Theory - a critique of capitalism, role of ideology, the concept of the public sphere and limits of critical theory. (Megan)
  • May - The Nature of Power - its sources, how does it manifest in social relations, ethical considerations which arise when wielding power and how to achieve a just distribution of power in society. (Lyn)
  • Jun - Technofeudalism - a discussion of Yanis Varoufakis' influential book.  Are we in a post capitalist technofeudal era? (Susan)
  • Jul - The Nature of Disgust  - discussion on the underlying factor or factors  that cause this judgment? (Jo)
